Inland Sea tour in Qatar
Khor Al Adaid, the Inland Sea, is where the sea reaches deep into the desert and the dunes run down to the water. It lies in the south-east of Qatar, near the border with Saudi Arabia.
Getting there
There is no paved road to the water. You cross soft sand and dunes, so you need a 4x4 and a driver who knows the desert. The drive is part of the trip.
When to go
The cooler months from October to April are the most comfortable. Early morning and late afternoon give you lower temperatures and softer light.
