What to expect
The camel kneels while you climb on, then stands up back legs first, so lean back and hold on. After that the ride is slow and steady, with a guide leading the camel. It is also one of the best moments for photos.
What to wear
Long, comfortable trousers or a loose skirt and closed shoes work best. Bring a hat and sunscreen for daytime rides.
How to do it
A camel ride is included in the morning, evening and overnight safaris. On the evening safari you can ride close to sunset, when the light is softer.
