Who should skip dune bashing
Do not go dune bashing if you are pregnant or have back, neck or heart problems. Tell us when you book, and ask whether the rest of the safari can work for you. Ask us about children's ages too.
In the 4x4
Keep your seat belt on and hold the grab handle. Tell the driver straight away if you feel unwell or want to slow down.
Heat and sun
Drink water, wear a hat and use sunscreen. Between June and September it is very hot, so choose the early morning or late afternoon. See the best time to go.
Do not go into the desert alone
Soft sand can trap a car, and phone signal can be weak. If you are not experienced in driving on sand, go with a driver who knows the desert.
